"Dark Shadows" movie

I had the pleasure of seeing "Dark Shadows," the new Tim Burton movie for the second time this week.  The second time that I viewed the movie, I watched it as a Tim Burton fan.  The first time that I'd seen "Dark Shadows," I viewed it as a "Dark Shadows" fan.  I studied on the differences between the classic series and the movie.  I really love Tim Burton's "Dark Shadows."  It is his best movie in years.  With movies like "Twilight" and tv shows like "Vampire Diaries," I am thrilled that Tim decided to put some humor into this new Barnabas Collins story.  I loved the way that Barnabas had a heck of a time adapting to 1972. He thought the McDonalds golden arches as a message from Satan, confused by cars, and he didn't know what a tv set was.  Another thrill for me was seeing Jonathan Frid, as well as Kathryn Leigh Scott, Lara Parker, and David Selby from the original "Dark Shadows" series in the movie.  It is sad that Jonathan passed away before the "Dark Shadows" movie was released, because I would of loved to read his reaction to the movie.  The cast was great.  Helena Carter was great in her performance as Dr. Hoffman.  I love the twist in the Victoria Winters character.  It really is a great time at the theater.  Too bad that Warner Bros released the movie a week after "Marvel's The Avengers."  I would of loved it, if "Dark Shadows" made a bunch of money and we'd see a sequel.
